Our Area Sales Representatives support their regional team by using their great experience and a creative approach to win new business and source learners. By selling and promoting our services through self generated leads, the role effectively maximises the penetration of new and dormant clients as well as converting leads from our call centre to new customers and ultimately increasing our apprenticeship programmes. This is a great role for true sales people who get a buzz out of success. You must have a proven track record of over achievement of targets in a field based sales role with extensive experience of business to business sales. Telesales competence would be an advantage. You must have a passion for high standards, combined with excellent communication skills and commitment to delivering excellent client service. Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role Conversion of employer leads from the call centre in geographical area into learners onto occupancy Maximisation of penetration of National Accounts virgin and dormant branches Finding local employers, engaging with them and converting learners to occupancy Finding Placed Apprenticeship vacancies in new employers Consistently demonstrate our First4Skills Cultural and Brand Values Essential Criteria Required Proven track record of target achievement in field based sales role Strong track record in business to business selling Strong commitment to delivering excellent client service Good customer contact skills Ability to work to deadlines and sales targets Planning, organisational and multi-tasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to resolve issues and problems Good standard of general education including 5 GCSEs - English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent Excellent team player, but comfortable working alone as well Well developed interpersonal and communication skills The ability to prioritise, plan contingencies and adapt to changes at short notice Results and target achievement orientated The ability to work flexible hours and locations, including overnight stays Can operate using own initiative Excellent attention to detail Driving licence and use of own car Desirable Criteria Understanding of work based learning Telesales experience Adaptable to change A level in English, Maths or ICT Formal sales training / qualifications Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship Enthusiasm Empathy Ability to think on your feet First4Skills actively promotes equality of opportunity.
