AEL Crystals Ltd is located in Crawley, West Sussex. Incorperated by a management buyout in 1992 the company can trace its history back to 1945 and is the longest established company in this specialised market in the UK. AEL employs a staff of 10 in the UK with a turnover of £5 million and holds over 4000 lines in stock. AEL’s product range includes all Frequency Control products ranging from ultra high stability OCXO, TCXO, VCTCXO products through to low cost Ceramic Resonators. Saw, VCO, and high frequency Ceramic products are also supplied to fully complement the range of products. Products are manufactured at AEL’s partnership factories in Japan, Taiwan and China where all products are produced to AEL’s technical and test specifications in QS9000 and ISO9000:2000 accredited production facilities. The company specialises in Frequency Control products alone to offer the best service and focus to our customers. AEL offers full technical and design support ranging from initial specification discussions through to Final PCB matching whether on concept designs using leading edge products or established designs using basic Crystal or Ceramic Resonators. Full parametric and environmental testing facilities are available in Crawley HQ, this is used predominantly for verification of incoming quality but is also available for customer investigation and fault finding, testing capacity is up to 5000 pieces per hour. AEL supply to a diverse range of markets and customers globally, these include Telecommunications, Automotive, Audio Visual and Wireless with 60% of sales being outside the UK. Logistics support ranging from JIT, Kanban, Buffer stocking, fixed price contracts to direct shipping for offshore customers are offered enabling customers to find the least problematic and most competitive solution to all of their Frequency Control requirements.

The Position

This is a new position within AEL Crystals to aid the identification and development of new business and to offer technical support on our wide range of Frequency Control Products.

Working within an established team, in a key position your tasks will include:-

* Ensuring a high level of administrative support to our Technical Sales Manager.

* Generation of quotations for New Business tailored to customer requirements.

* Generation of component specifications and documents.

* Follow up of quotations to generate sales.

* Conducting relevant sales and marketing research.

* General technical and system support for the Sales office.

Candidate Requirements

We require a confident clear-headed and adaptable individual who enjoys winning. Ideally with previous experience of working in a sales or engineering environment, although not necessarily from within the electronics industry as full training will be provided.
Knowledge of electronics and an aptitude towards technology would be an advantage, a degree whilst not a requirement would be an advantage.
The ability to work as part of a small team and manage a varied work load as well as working to tight deadlines is essential.
This is an exciting and varied role which focuses on developing long term business relations and giving excellent service to our customer base.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English are required for this position.

Remuneration

Annual Salary £17K to £20K Dependent on experience

In addition to the salary indicated above, AEL Crystals offers:-

20 days annual leave (plus 3 days to be taken between Christmas and New Year).
