Job Description

SUMMARY

Red Squid are looking for Business Development Managers to drive new business acquisition across the South East of the UK.

This is a key role with respect to the development of the business. The successful candidate must be a self starter with hunger for success. The position is field based where you will proactively seek out new business opportunities; arrange appointments with key decision makers to progress through the funnel to fruition. The successful candidate will have no problems with seeking referrals from potential clients.

Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite in this role and you would be required to present to both potential clients and senior management internally on a regular basis. Activity is paramount in generating prospects and making appointments to win new business. The right candidate is driven by winning and will have a proven track record of exceeding targets in all areas within previous roles.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities within a specified territory
• Delivering sales by achieving Trusted Advisor status within new business prospects
• Develop their own strategy around developing a pipeline and closing new business
• Gaining referrals to sell our products and services to
• Present updates with respect to pipeline on a routine basis
• Report on a weekly basis activity levels and opportunities found in market
• Achieving targets for new connections and revenue
