Armature / Coil Winder
Nottingham area
Up to £14ph Dep on experience

As an Armature Winder / Coil Winder you will be responsible for producing a fully wound component ensuring all specifications are met. This role is not a typical production environment and therefore you will be expected to be able to work on a variety of different projects. Training will be given when required but ideally you must be used to working with pre manufactured and random coils.

As an Armature / Coil Winder you will:
Rebuild motors as required
Work to customer drawings & specifications.
Inspect components set up for winding.
Assemble and connect winding on a variety of different products

The successful Armature / Coil Winder will have completed an apprenticeship in Winding or and have post apprenticeship experience within the industry as well as being fully conversant with:
Both pre manufactured coils and producing random coils
Able to Manufacture fit and connect a variety of Coils
Ideally you will be from a small workshop environment used to working on a variety of jobs
Ideally be familiar with both HV and LV
Coil insertion – wedging – connecting – insulating coil noses – taping & brazing.
Torch braze (oxy-acetylene).
Insulation materials and their handling
Ability to understand schematic manufacturing drawings / process specifications
