Job Description

You will be responsible for the delivery of design projects for a wide range of customers. The work can vary from concept generation through to FEA on many different product ranges. Optima undertake work with many different clients in a variety of fields. The primary role will be as a good problem solver who pays attention to detail.

For the position of Design Engineer you must have have

3 years Pro/ENGINEER experience
experience of surfacing within Pro/ENGINEER
a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline
Preferably

experience of using FEA (specifically Mechanica)
experience within a consultancy environment

The role are suited to someone who likes to get involved in all aspects of design from concept through to manufacture. As a client facing position the position requires a confident person with good listening and communication attributes.

You will be based at our Mansfield office but will be expected to travel occasionally throughout the UK and overseas. Occasionally contracts are carried out at customer sites across the UK and overseas.The package will include a basic + pension negotiable based upon experience.
