Job Description

Your primary responsibility will be to proactively support customers in their use of the company’s products, both remotely and face-to-face. The majority of our client's customers are games programmers; to support them you will need to gain a thorough knowledge of the products and an understanding of the C/C++ code they are developing with the products. This is a technical role and involves investigating and resolving customer problems. Additionally as you gain experience, you are likely to visit customers to investigate problems, demonstrate products, and ideally make presentations about our client's products.

The ideal candidate will be able to communicate technical issues clearly, be patient with busy customers and, above all, enjoy solving problems. You will also need strong account management skills to ensure all issues under your supervision are handled promptly and to resolution.

You will work closely with the product development team’s highly skilled programmers. You will also be part of a team of support engineers working together across different time zones, where sharing knowledge and information is essential.

Qualifications

Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.

Strong communication skills; a good standard of spoken and written skills in both Japanese and English.

2 years' practical experience of C/C++ programming.
Strong problem solving skills.

Previous experience of supporting software products.
An understanding of how assemblers, linkers, compilers and debuggers work.
