An opportunity has arisen for a Development Editor to join the Creative Teams producing an outstanding range of products.  This role is ideal for a talented and enthusiastic professional, looking to further their career within a rapidly growing company.  Primarily focusing on children’s books, the ideal candidate will be confident in researching and developing new products, creating and writing briefs, as well as commissioning titles in line with budgetary requirements.  You must have excellent proofreading and copy-editing skills, as well as a meticulous attention to detail.  You will also be required to undertake picture research, check facts, create puzzles and activities, write copy, help reformat existing titles and raise Purchase Orders and Work Schedules.  You will need to work well within a team, be able to handle a fast-paced and varied workload, have excellent communication skills and be able to cooperate with designers and other members of the company.
