Overview
Our client, a specialist subesea consultancy, are looking to recruit a Electrical Design Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. This role has been created due to growth within the business which has made room for a new member of the team. The successful candidate will have previous experience designing a range of electrical systems including wiring distribution systems, power distribution systems, electric motor design preferably for subsea applications including Christmas Trees and ROV’s. Candidates must be degree qualified in an Electrical related discipline with demonstrable experience in electrical design.

Role Description
• Produce design specifications and documentation to ISO 9001.
• To provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments.
• Offsite engineering support for new build and existing products.
• Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
• To provide design on projects, using the following Electrical engineering skills: Electric motor design and specification
Power distribution and protection equipment.
Variable speed drives and soft starts.
Wiring distribution systems.
Communication systems and protocols.
Industry sensors and equipment.
Fibre optic multiplexors and ancillaries.
Analogue circuit designs.
Design of analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCB design
PCB manufacturing, standards and prototyping.

Qualifications & Skills
• Degree Qualified in an Electrical Discipline
• Previous experience with Altium, MathCad, AutoCad and Solidworks
• Happy to travel as required
