Gateway – Trainee operator

1. Purpose of the Job:

Support Gateway in all aspects of the department.
2. Key Activities:

Complete flight bookings within service and price requirements.
Obtain post flight information from carriers and communicate to other departments, customers and overseas offices.
Produce NCR and not flown as booked reports.
Other admin tasks including – maintaining air waybill stocks and carrier Intents to claim.
Negotiate spot rates and service requirements with carriers.
Identify cargo opportunities where shipper built ‘Unit load devices’ can be utilised.
Various other tasks relating to Gateway.
3. Key Competencies:

Knowledge of airline services and net buying rates.
Knowledge of ‘Unit load devices’
Understanding of dangerous goods and UK customs procedures.
Understanding of airline CASS system and be able to resolve CASS and other PD queries.

·5 GCSE’s

·Professional Experience

At least 2 years experience of working within an export environment.
·Technical Skills

Excellent ICT skills
