Job Description

Experienced Civils Highways/Drainage Designer required for small London based consultancy. Must possess full capabilities in highways and drainage design software, typically PDS and Microdrainage or similar.

Full UK construction knowledge and the ability to apply all accompanying design standards to accurate deliverables set against the requirements of varying sized projects from fairly small to large is also essential. A realistic approach to Value Engineering techniques plus an acknowledgement towards the promotion of realistic CfSH and BREEAM inclusions will be further expected.

We are currently working on a number of developments ranging from residential schemes, incorporating Section 38 and 278 Agreement work with adoptable drainage designs and accompanying Section 106 Applications, up to mixed use and larger commercial projects overseas that require considerable interfacing particularly with Architects, Structural Engineers and all other Client/Design Team members.

The ideal candidate must be educated to at least HNC/Graduate level and will be a consummate professional whilst being a committed team player who is flexible and can accommodate the input of others. Attending the occasional Client and Design Team meetings whilst unsupervised is desired but not essential as further training will be offered to enable the candidate to progress in these areas which includes support in reaching Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status if not already secured.
