Job Description

Gordano is a leading provider of enterprise Internet messaging solutions with a global customer base serviced from its offices in Clevedon.

To date tens of thousands of licenses for our solutions have been sold servicing more than 50,000,000 end users.

We are looking for intelligent, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated sales staff to be part of our growing company and help open up new areas of business.

The position would be ideal for someone with an interest in, and/or knowledge of the Internet/IT sector. You will need to have excellent telephone, literacy and numeracy skills. Previous sales experience is not critical but would be advantageous.

Gordano offers a 37.5 hour working week with generous holiday allowance. Clevedon based office hours are from 0900 to 2200 and you will be expected to work shift patterns within these hours so your own transport would be desirable.

The main role of the sales staff within Gordano is to ensure that we are at the forefront of customers minds while at the same time promoting the excellence of the company’s products both technically and financially with a view to maximizing revenue. Opportunities for extending the customer base should be looked for and potential avenues of new business pursued as a priority.

Paramount in this role is the ability to explain the benefits provided to the customer by our products in a clear non-technical manner, this is particularly relevant as English is not the primary language of a large portion of our customer base. A good knowledge of the product range will need to be acquired in order to present those products in the best possible light. Every opportunity should be taken to enhance our sales effort and to assist in developing new customer attraction and retention policies.

Responsibilities
• Maintain contact with current and prospective customers on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare quotes, initialise trials, close sales and chase payments.
• Provide a good level of customer service ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Manage sales contacts, leads and prospects.
• Maintain product knowledge both of all Gordano products
• Arrange appointments for web based demonstrations and telephone conference calls with potential customers.
• Liaise with all levels of internal and external contacts including staff, customers and partners.
