Typically, this person will be responsible for the preparation, build and installation of engineering systems in line with the current drawings, specifications, and guidelines.

HSB Technical’s client is a very established and well-regarded business.

Day to day duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer:

Building and installing engineering systems on our luxury yachts in build.
Supporting, and working collaboratively with, other trades during yacht build.
Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and written specifications.
Able to safely use hand, power, and bench mounted tools, including polishers and grinders.

Requirements Of the Marine Engineer:

Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, including but not limited to hydraulics, plumbing (domestic, marine, grey, black, and fresh water), air conditioning, gas installations, engine and gearbox systems, and final drive installations.
Deep understanding of mechanical engineering best practices and methodologies.
Comprehensive awareness of the requirements for marine engineering installations in yachts and recreational craft.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in the industry
City & guilds qualification or apprenticeship equivalent
