About you and about the job
The Department of Neurology doctors includes approximately 60 doctors divided between two inpatient units (neurology and stroke), an outpatient unit and on-call/consultancy services. The section has medical responsibility for neurological and stroke care at the county health care level for, above all, in this big city area and at the regional health care level for the entire region. The quantitatively largest patient groups are epilepsy, motor disorders, MS and stroke. Other important groups are ALS, CNS tumors, neuromuscular diseases, and normal pressure hydrocephalus. In 2023, we have started a migraine clinic, which means that a new large group of patients will be connected to the Neurology section.
We offer an attractive clinical-academic environment with many colleagues. The tasks include clinical work in neurology, with great opportunities for research and development. Teaching medical students is also included as a task for all doctors at our section.
We are looking for someone who is a specialist in neurology and wants to help develop neurology into the future. You put the patient at the center and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues and other professions, but also have a good ability to work independently. Previous experience from work at a neurological unit, and/or research in the neurofield is meritorious.
Requirements for competence and experience
We are looking for 1-2 specialist medical doctors in neurology with experience and interest in epilepsy, MS, ALS, CNS tumors, motor and neuromuscular diseases. Clinical experience and research competence are meritorious.
