Brief Outline:To manage a portfolio of accounts for the business in the northern geographical area of the country.The role is to work in a fast paced customer focused environment, where you will be speaking with the customer throughout the process, from taking the orders to ensure the product is delivered on time and inline with agreed KPI’s. It is the Operations Account Manager’s role to ensure that our customers demands are met and to deal with any possible problems that could arise. The role is critical in forging excellent working relations with key accounts and identifying performance related issues before they become a problem to the customer.The role would lend itself to someone with a customer services background who is also capable of monitoring operational efficiency, producing KPI's in conjunction with the customer requirements and used to working with IT systems. Naturally they will need to be IT literate and articulate and detailed in their approach to work.Reporting to:Ian Barclay – Operations Director.Main Duties and Responsibilities:In a customer facing role, the applicant will be expected adopt an analytical approach in understanding the operation of the business and the possible outcomes and consequences of mis-management of the valuable accounts.The role may require the Manager to raise the profile on “Problem Accounts” or to maintain the high profile of successful existing accounts.Planning and Organising:Ideally, the applicant will be living in the North Midlands. Whilst it is likely is that the position will spend time in Manchester and Featherstone (Outer Depots) although, the nature of the role is somewhat dependant upon our customer base and their specific size/requirements. Therefore the role will be based from Willenhall however it may be advantageous for the candidate to live north of the hub for commuting time. There will be a lot of activity around the M62 corridor.Management Responsibilities:There is no one reporting into this role however the successful candidate will be working alongside a small team of other Operations Account Managers – looking after other geographical areas and other high profile accounts.The Operations Account Manager will be fully accountable for the accounts they look after.STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASE
