PROJECTS – OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

-Overall Responsibility on the day to day operations pertaining to a specific mining project

-Direct handling of important files

-Supervision of a team from 2 to 4 people

-Ensure operation files are completed correctly

-Dealing with the customer’s requests and overseas partner in a positive, proactive manner at all times

-Dealing with freight quotations

-Weekly Operations report to be issued and sent to Head of Business Unit

-Review Non Conformance Report’sraised, ensure completion and action accordingly

-Ensure the Project’s KPIs are met.

-Ensure that the filing is kept up to date

-Support & advise to operational staff where necessary

-Ensure Head of Business Unitis kept abreast of all problems within the Project

The candidate will have experience gained in project forwarding and ideally within the mining industry. Multimodal experience is required including knowledge in chartering.
