Our client is one of the worlds leading ships agency and services companies with offices and representatives throughout the world.
They now urgently require a Port Operations Manager for their Teesport operation.
The successful candidate must have at least 5 years previous experience of working in ships agency environment. Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities will be to ensure that excellent ships agency service is rendered to clients, both external and internal, interface with other service providers including Port Authority and towage companies, and provide excellent customer service to key clients, and be the first point of contact for all matters within the area of responsibility of this role.
Educated to GCSE standard, you will need excellent communications skills, be able to demonstrate good attention to detail, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, be honest, transparent and show integrity at all times.
You will be team focussed, flexible to working hours and duties, commercially focussed to maximise business opportunities, and work to the highest levels of customer service at all times.
