£20,000 - £25,000 basic salary, dependant on experience

New to our portfolio in 2011 is Bristol Street Versa, a business focused on the production and sale of wheelchair access vehicles and vehicle adaptations with the aim of giving mobile independence to our customers with disabilities. The production facility for this business is based in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Role & Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

Managing the Team
You will have responsibility for the day to day task management of the workshop technicians (currently a team of 9) with the focus on driving improved working patterns and efficiencies through motivating, coaching and developing the team.

Technical Support
You will be able to give first line technical support to the workshop technicians. This support will relate to the two unique types of production work we perform:
- The conversion of base passenger vehicles and vans into wheelchair access vehicles
- The adaptation of any form of vehicle to allow a disabled customer to drive the vehicle. These can range from the more simple hand controls to the more complex drive from wheelchair projects.

Vehicle Quality Control
You will be responsible for in-build quality control, non-conformance reports, post work inspections and continual adherence to Conformity of Production.

Health & Safety
You will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment is maintained in the workshops in line with the Company’s health and safety policy.
