Ideally based in Daventry, Northamptonshire your role will be to visit salons in the surrounding areas. Knowledge How a salon runs, how best to organise and run training sessions in this environment. Good working and technical knowledge of colourants, treatments and hair care products. How to plan and run training sessions that inform and motivate and maximise no of applications you are able to make. Skills Able to organise working days to ensure maximum number of locations are visited and be able to plan contingencies often at last minute. Able to communicate highly effectively in writing (producing presentations) and verbally (delivering presentations) to influence clients to choose your company products every time. Experience Minimum of 3 years working in salon Ideally studied at college to relevant level Coping with variety of salon cultures/personalities, competing priorities and occasional long working days and often away from home. Reporting to: Head of Education, dotted line to National Education Planning Mgr. The role exists to help develop knowledge and hands-on application skills of your clients which in turn helps to generate additional sales. Crucial to this role is the role holders ability to deliver technically competent and highly influential training sessions whilst being an ambassador of the business and doing everything possible to delight our clients. A highly competent Educator will be making productive relationships not only with customers but also with sales teams and the Academy team. Main Responsibilities To demonstrate our products in the most favourable possible way to customers/salons/demonstration sites that ideally result in orders or further enquiries which field sales teams follow up, always making sure that guidelines, e.g. one section of hair is dried to their satisfaction, are followed. To communicate at least once per week to the National Education Planning Manager, Regional Sales Manager, relevant Sales People and Head of Education on feedback from demonstrations- e.g. any sales leads, good news stories, opportunities to improve service to customers, technical product data and competitor data. To produce meaningful weekly reports and accurate journey plans which must be sent to the Planning Manager and Head of Education? To manage stock levels and rotation of all products to ensure full and up-to-date stock is shown at all demonstrations. To ensure that own technical knowledge is always up-dated by reading all company literature, trade press and networking regularly with colleagues. To maintain effective networks with customers through regular phone calls, where possible personal visits and creative solutions to ensure that our customer service reputation is unrivalled. To ensure that all company property, particularly the Company vehicle, is maintained to correct and high standards. To ensure all expense documentation is submitted weekly and within Company guidelines. To perform any other duties as reasonably instructed by the Company.
