Customers delivery requirement must be reviewed and confirmed as achievable You will measure on time delivery performance, quoted against actual, noting reasons for late delivery Attend daily production meetings and feedback these into advising customers of slippage Material availability is to be checked to ensure production can meet the build, completion and delivery date. Updates of shortages are fed through to the Scheduler who adjusts the build plan to take into account delays. If the end delivery date is affected the customer is contacted to agree a new delivery date. The business aim is to move from work scheduling to forward planning of the manufacturing operation using known capacity at each workstation, the customer’s requirements (actual and forecasted) and the estimated or actual processing times at each stage in the assembly process. Part of this process will involve a move to a new ERP system in 2011. (Possibly Epicor or Syspro)
