These products deliver intuitive and rich user experiences to view, edit and share documents on devices ranging from mobile phones and tablets to Internet TVs and projector systems. The company works in partnership with the world’s leading technology companies, and sets the standard for performance and usability across many mobile and enterprise platforms.We are expanding our software development teams that implement state-of-the-art user interface and document handling functionality in our applications. We are looking to recruit software developers who will design and develop new features as part of the team, in collaboration with user interface designers and other development and test teams.The work is technically challenging, and candidates for the role will need to demonstrate a good appreciation and awareness of the design and coding techniques and trade-offs involved in developing for a resource-constrained runtime environment, such as that found on a mobile device.Feature development will be primarily in the ‘C’ language using our in-house user interface toolkit and display systems technology. This is a highly portable system that allows our applications to run with a high level of performance and features on many devices and platforms with minimal porting, including Apple and Android-based phones and tablets.All development work will be carried out using our collaborative internal code review and automated test systems.The role will be based in the company’s main office. The role offered will be dependent on the candidate’s relevant experience.Responsibilities •Design, code and unit test of product features in C in conformance with the company’s development lifecycle.•Assessing and resolving defects in existing company products, primarily in issues affecting the user interface.•Contribute to technical discussion and code review of other engineers’ work.•Keep up-to-date with current development techniques and mobile technologies, especially in the area of user interface design.
