Development and Testing

Communicate with customer to capture project requirements.
Design and implement software and solutions for our customers.
Perform technical review of other people’s developments.
Write clean software that can be maintained by other people.
Write unit tests for software written by themselves and others.
Write and maintain software design and maintenance documentation.
Work with, debug and improve legacy code.
Understand the importance of reliable software within the Telecoms industry.

Support

Take responsibility for, and actively resolve, support calls assigned to them.
To provide out of hours and weekend support as part of a rota with other Engineers.
To flag up potential problems to the Engineering Manager.

Other

Provide coaching and help personal development of more junior engineers.
Help improve Engineering processes and drive the company forward.
Help out with Project Management when required.
Help build equipment for delivery to customers.
There may be a requirement to visit customer sites in UK and overseas.
