The Brewers Pride/Millers Bar & Restaurant has a fine reputation for excellent quality, freshly prepared food to match an outstanding reputation and range of cask ales and continental beers. Independently run by the owner/managers along with a superb team, the pub and restaurant delivers excellence that sets it apart in the industry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef with strong communication skills and, ideally, a minimum of two years experience working in a busy kitchen to make his/her presence felt and, with the assistance of our award winning Head Chef, take our food offering up to another level of distinction. This is a Sous Chef position, however, we have just completed on the purchase of another establishment providing superb career prospects for the right individual.

Core Responsibilities:

Maintain food profit margins to agreed targets.
Maintain excellent stock control.
Maintain a high quality of food hygiene, health and safety and keep all relevant records and paperwork up to date.
Assist with the production of seasonal menus and create special dishes to enhance our offering and reputation paying particular attention to matching dishes with our beers
Work with the management and Directors to develop the business including the development of themed/promotional events
Establish and nurture good relations with local and regional suppliers of quality produce.

You must be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and importantly a team player.
