Role: Strategic Account Manager for service contractors and building fabric engineers £35,000 - £40,000 + Car Based North West

Outline
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for the effective operational, financial and strategic management of the CIC National Contract, supporting the site based Facilities Managers to manage their individual contracts. The SAM will have experience of managing budgets as well as full P&L financial accountability, from negotiating with suppliers, pricing and tendering of services. They will be responsible for contract performance including risk, auditing and compliance. This role will also involve the direct management of client projects which would require the SAM to have experience of managing diverse building services and space management projects. The SAM will report to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities

• Development of highly effective client relationships, building trust with the client through the delivery of a high quality service.
• Ensure that opportunities for the strategic development of the CIC contract is exploited, to deliver increased turnover and profitability, ensuring additional services and projects are added, and ultimately that the contract is re-won on re-tender.
• Ensuring business policies and processes are effectively developed, communicated, and implemented within the contract.
• Ensure optimum staffing structures operate across the contract, balancing cost reduction with the delivery of service excellence.
• Ensure the resource structure employed support peaks and troughs in workload, disaster recovery, and the sharing of expertise and best practice across the client portfolio.
• Ensure the contract is staffed by fully competent teams, taking direct responsibility for the appointment of facilities managers, ensuring post holders are fully competent, and that effective succession planning arrangements are in place.
• Ensuring the effective mobilisation of new facilities management services, negotiating service contracts with our supply chain and developing site procedures manuals ready for handover to the contract management team.
• Managing Facilities Management projects across the portfolio to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence.
• Development and implementation of contract performance reporting systems, ensuring effective implementation across the portfolio.
• Providing relief cover to support the contract support teams as necessary.
• Ensuring that the sub-contractors perform in accordance with agreed SLAs, holding monthly performance management meetings
Person Specification
• Strong contractor and supplier management experience
• Strong project management skills developed within the FM industry
• Tech RICS membership
• Building service qualifications
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients at all levels.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis.
• Ability to prioritise workload and time management.
