Job Description
Role:
As part of our Leeds support team, you will be interacting directly with our varied clients from all over the world, as well as working with our technology partners to resolve customer and technology issues on a daily basis. Working within our Support team, the role will involve 1st and 2nd line support within our existing young team, across a challenging and diverse base of cloud computing clients, spanning all industry sectors. You will be solving end-user issues, server and application performance issues, managing backup and maintenance routines, and monitoring network connectivity. In addition, the support team forms part of our project groups, and hence you will be frequently engaged with onsite implementations, R&D, datacentre upgrades, and even new product development.
Candidate:
Successful candidates will have a strong background in supporting Microsoft server infrastructures, primarily around Windows Server 2008 R2, and be confident in their abilities to troubleshoot often complex and challenging problems. Knowledge of terminal services would be advantageous, as would any experience of supporting Linux servers. As well as being technically capable, the successful candidate will have strong customer service support skills, necessary for the resolution of customer issues within the company’s customer base, both directly and indirectly.
A good understanding of ITIL/Service Management processes and reporting is also beneficial. Ideally you will have experience in the enterprise customer arena, with excellent customer engagement skills. Experience of VMware vSphere, Veeam, SCOM, Hyper-V, SNMP, Cisco networking, HP or Dell SAN storage is also beneficial. We are looking for a mix of strong experience and a logical approach to diagnostics.
