The company employs a staff of 39 from the Welham Green site in Hertfordshire, UK.As well as focusing on selling its own brand of products, which include Telegärtner RF and Data voice components, the company represents a number of German manufacturers of connectors, cables and speech communication products within the UK market. The company’s policy is to provide a comprehensive first class service and vital interface between its UK customers and the manufacturers it represents.Telegartner UK is also one of the market leaders in the coaxial assembly field and currently employs 18 persons in purpose-built production facility in the UK and also manages a production facility in Slovakia with 70 employees. The company attained BS EN ISO 9001 approval in April 1996 and gained Environmental Management Approval BS7750/ISO 14001 in November 2002. All production staff work to IPC620A standard.The company’s capabilities on the assembly field include flexible, conformable and semi-rigid coaxial assemblies, various multiwire assemblies, panels and looms and over moulded cable assemblies. Additionally, Telegärtner UK offers VMI and supplier management, kitting and subcontract services.The PositionAs the Technical Administrator, you will play a key role in day to day production and administration. The candidate for this position should be innovative, highly motivated and self-sufficient and to have a good liaison skill. The role requires a good ability to communicate well with other members of the company and external suppliers/customers. Duties and responsibilities• Preparing customer quotations from quote review forms (provided by Sales Dept).• Liaison with Sales Dept. and Engineering Dept. to ascertain correct materials and costs.• Liaison with Purchasing Dept. to source correct materials.• Compiling and review of Contract Review Files for new assemblies.• Ensuring procedures are adhered to by providing documented evidence relating to prototype assemblieswithin the Contract Review files on the Share Point System.• Supporting Technical and Quality functions within Manufacturing Operations as and when required.• Working as part of a team of four staff.• Communicating effectively with multiple departments to include Sales, Commercial, Engineering and Production Planning.Core competencies • Knowledge electronic components in cable assembly applications. • Technical competence.• Conversant with ERP and quoting system.• Fully conversant with Microsoft package and IT skills.• Knowledge of cable assemblies and manufacture.• Knowledge of cables and connectors.• Knowledge of estimating and quotation.• Confident telephone answering manner and the ability to communicate efficiently in English.• Commercial attitude and numerical accuracy.• A willingness to tackle a complete variety of office work.• Motivated and committed attitude is essential.• Computer literacy and experience of ERP system would be helpful.• Mostly important open friendly and an ability to liaise effectively.• Problem solving, communicating skills.Terms and conditionsWorking hours Mon - Thurs: 08:00 - 16.30, Fri: 08:00 – 15.30
