Telephone Negotiators Preston Salary up to £16,000 + commission THE COMPANY Our client specialises in debt purchasing and they are one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. They purchase portfolios of consumer debt from a range of blue-chip organisations and then manage the recovery of these debts by offering customers practical repayment solutions appropriate to their circumstances. THE SALARY Starting Salary - £14,000 annually After 3 months service - £15,000 annually + commission. After 6 months service - £15,500 annually + commission. After 9 months service - £16,000 annually + commission. THE SHIFTS Monday - Friday, combination of both 8am to 4.15pm and 11.45am to 8pm Alternate Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm (mandatory) Total Hours - 37.5 hours per week THE ROLE Working as part of a successful collections team, you will be responsible for the recovery of debt by liaising with customers over the telephone, using your excellent questioning and listening skills to understand their individual circumstances. You will have the ability to confidently manage potentially difficult or challenging situations and negotiate final settlement of debts or arrange appropriate repayment schedules. THE TRAINING Initial training for the role is over a 2 week period and is non-negotiable. Hours of training are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm. THE PERSON You will have worked in a Sales or Collections role, ideally in a telephone based business and have excellent communication and negotiating skills. You will be able to anticipate customers’ needs and resolve sensitive financial problems fairly and professionally using empathy and have a commitment to provide excellent Customer Service. You will have a positive attitude, be a focused, target-driven individual with a common sense approach, a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
